PANAJI: The State will observe United Nations Day on Friday, October 24, 2025. On this occasion, all government departments, offices, and public sector undertakings in Panaji and district headquarters that regularly fly the National Flag have been directed to hoist the United Nations Flag alongside it, as per the Flag Code of India, 2002. However, the UN Flag will not be flown at Raj Bhavan, the Legislative Assembly, and the High Court buildings. The celebration marks India’s recognition of the UN’s founding principles of peace, cooperation, and development.
