PANAJI: A one-day “Workshop on Digital Library” was organised by the Department of Library and Information Science, GVM’s Dr Dada Vaidya College of Education, Ponda which was attended by 92 students. The workshop was aimed at imparting training to the students and faculty to ensure optimum utilization of electronic resources subscribed by the college. It also provided participants with an opportunity to discuss their concerns and difficulties directly with resource person Prayangi Matonkar.
The workshop included an overview on Digital Library and live demonstrations of Developing Library Network (DELNET), National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST), Online Public Access catalogue (OPAC) and KOHA Footfall Recording system. Faculty members from the college also attended sessions of their interest.
