Shanaya Rebelo (12), a singer, song-writer and musician, released her new single “Levitating in Space”, on Sunday at an event organised by Vibgyor Charitable Trust.
The song was launched by noted singer Hema Sardesai and featured other artistes too.
Shanaya, who is happy to sing for a cause, says 'Levitating in Space' is a curious song and wishes that everybody enjoys the jazz, pop and funk beat in it.
This time, Shanaya has also gone global and teamed up with international artistes who have produced this song.
Shanaya, who also plays the guitar and keyboards, has been composing songs from the tender age of 8. Her first song ‘Merry, Merry Christmas’ was aired by All India Radio Panjim on Christmas Eve.
Since then, Shanaya has written 18 songs, of which four have been released by various platforms including ‘Jazz Goa’ and ‘Boskon Studios’.
During the Pandemic, she released a single called “I won't give up” that spoke of hope, love, and faith.
Another single that she holds very close to her heart is “Save the Earth” which speaks about caring for the environment, and which she recently performed at the ‘Mhadei Amchi Mai’ - the human chain held recently in Panaji.
