
SANGUEM: The annual feast of the 18th-century Chapel of St Anne at Maida-Sanguem will be celebrated on May 10. The concelebrated Feast Mass will be held at 10.30 am, with Fr Serville Antao as the main celebrant. Residents informed that the historic chapel at Maida-Sanguem continues to be an important centre of devotion for people from the adjoining villages of Kurdi and Wadem. The chapel was renovated in 2009 through the efforts of the local villagers. Following the Feast Mass, Konkani plays by Xavier De Sanguem will be staged for the entertainment of devotees and visitors attending the celebrations.
