Ponda's Purva Chodankar wins 'Narisoch 2024'

Poorva Chodankar from Ponda clinched the winner's title at this year's All Goa Nauwari Competition 'Narisoch' (Season 4), organized by the Narisoch Art and Cultural Club which was held on April 13 at Ravindra Bhavan, Baina in Vasco. 

Neeti Kamat from Margao secured the position of first runner-up. Tania Naik from Margao and Akshada Nagvekar from Siolim were honoured as the second runners-up of the competition. The primary objective behind organizing this event is to promote the rich cultural heritage of Goa and provide a platform for women to exhibit their talents.

This year's competition saw a total of 40 contestants selected from the preliminary rounds held in Mapusa, Margao, and Vasco. From this pool, 16 finalists were chosen to compete in the final round. The event was graced by Director of Art and Culture Sagun R. Velip as the Chief Guest. Sarika Shirodkar efficiently coordinated the entire programme.  Asha Arondekar and Madhumita Nayak Salatry were the judges. Suvina Manjrekar, the president of the Narisoch Art and Cultural Club, extended gratitude to all participants, emphasizing the competition's purpose of promoting Goan cultural heritage and providing a platform for women to showcase their skills.
