6th accused in Mapusa, Dona Paula dacoity cases brought to Goa

PANAJI:  The Crime Branch (Goa) on Wednesday took custody of a sixth accused, Mohammad Nazir, a Bangladeshi national, in the 2025 dacoity case registered at Mapusa Police Station.

Nazir was brought to Goa from Delhi and produced before the local court, which remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody.

Five other Bangladeshi nationals had earlier been taken into custody in connection with the dacoity cases reported at Dona Paula and Ganeshpuri in Mapusa. All six accused were arrested during a joint operation by the Delhi Police Crime Branch, based on intelligence inputs provided by the Goa Police.
