Demolition of illegal tourism structures deferred at Agonda

The scheduled demolition of 13 tourism structures operating illegally at Agonda beach was called off on Tuesday and deferred to an unknown date.
According to sources, a team of officials reached the Southern side of the beach to carry out demolition of 13 structures reportedly operating illegally since the beginning the ongoing season.
Sources informed that the Demolition Squad was deputed to carry out a court order in connection with an ongoing litigation by a private party, to demolish certain tourism structures operating illegally in a private property.
The team, which included officials from the electricity department, reached the site, but according to sources, no police team was present at the location.
After waiting for some time, the demolition squad reportedly left without carrying out demolition of any structure.
