Goa gets Rs 61.57 crore for MSMEs from centre

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that Goa has been granted Rs 61.57 crores by the Ministry of MSME, paving the way for enhanced growth and development of the State's MSME sector.

Speaking at the World MSME Day function at Mantralaya, he further shared that the Strategic Implementation Plan, prepared by the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), has received approval.

"The Strategic Implementation Plan prepared by the DITC has been approved, and Goa has received Rs 61.57 Crores from the Ministry of MSME," said the CM.

Goa is home to 51,745 registered MSMEs. Sawant revealed that the government is set to implement the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme, with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and partial funding from the World Bank.

"Goa is committed to engaging in collaborative efforts, bringing Ease of Doing Business, extending support towards the vision of a Swayampurna and Viksit Goa," he said.
