Goa Police partners with Yoska to boost personnel fitness

Goa Police on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yoska Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd to promote the health and wellness of police personnel through various programmes.

The MoU, signed in the presence of the Chief Minister of Goa, provides for structured, scientifically designed, and personalised fitness and wellness programmes.

Details shared by the department state that under the MoU, Yoska will deliver 5,000 pro bono training plans, valued at Rs 1.1 crore, free of cost to the Goa Police. In addition, Yoska will collaborate with the Goa Police to conceptualise, plan, and execute three annual public running events to promote community fitness and engagement.

CM Sawant, while addressing the gathering, emphasised that fitness is of utmost importance, not only for professional duties but also for personal life. He stated that regular training is essential for maintaining discipline, readiness, and resilience in the force. He also encouraged officers who undergo training to share their knowledge and practices with colleagues across all ranks, ensuring that the benefits reach the entire police force.

The MoU was signed by Superintendent of Police (Sports) Sunita Sawant on behalf of the Director General of Police, Goa, and by representatives of Yoska Technology.
