Margao Sports Club will take on Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club in the final of the 14th Wilred Leisure Soccer Cup 2025. In the second semifinal held at DSYA Ground in Curtorim on Sunday,
Margao edged past Shiroda YC with a 2-1 victory. The match saw an early lead for Margao when Rocky Borges converted a penalty in the 9th minute. Shiroda YC responded quickly, with Dadapeer Patil scoring the equalizer in the 14th minute. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.
The decisive goal came in the 50th minute from Sareino Fernandes, giving Margao Sports Club a 2-1 lead that they would hold onto until the final whistle.
Atharv Ghadi of Shiroda YC was awarded the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance. The final will be played on Saturday, March 29, at 7 pm under floodlights.
