A 25-year-old has been arrested for allegedly stealing valuables worth Rs 12 lakh from a residence and threatening the family with dire consequences.
The accused, identified as Vishaka Mhamal, allegedly took gold and diamond ornaments belonging to Nikita Mhamal, who subsequently filed a complaint with the Agassaim police. The incident occurred between June 8 and December 12, 2023, at the complainant's residence.
According to Nikita, she had stored the ornaments in her house locker and the accused threatened her with dire consequences, including killing her husband, if she reported the incident to the police.
The Agassaim police registered the FIR under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and arrested Vishaka.
