Sudden rains in many parts of Canacona taluka on Monday afternoon caught people off-guard, but the unexpected rains also provided relief by lowering the temperature.
At the commercial hub of Chaudi, two-wheelers riders and people in the market scurried to seek protection from the sudden rain.
While the rains continued for an hour in Colomb-Patnem-Rajbag regions, it lasted for about 30-50 minutes in Palolem, Nagorcem, Chaudi, Ponsulem, Sheller and Mastmoll areas of municipal areas. Shristhal, Sadolxem, Galgibaga and Ordhofond were among the other places which also witnessed unexpected rains in the afternoon.
