AAP ticket to Karl Vaz will not affect Cong: Amonkar
Reacting to the AAP ticket given to former MLA Karl Vaz for Mormugao, Congress spokesperson Sankalp Amonkar said it would not affect the Congress votes, but would end up making a dent in the BJP vote bank.

Briefing the media on Thursday evening, Amonkar said: “Vaz was a Congress man and was a Congress MLA from Mormugao. I do not know why he joined AAP. It will not have any impact on the Congress votes as the voters are still with the party and it is a straight fight between BJP and Congress and Congress this time will be a winner from Mormugao constituency.” “Karl Vaz will only manage to take vote share from the BJP and the people have assured Congress that this time they will not commit the same mistake that they had committed during the 2012 Assembly by voting an Independent candidate.”
