Baazigar Vs Bedardi (1993)

Baazigar announced the entry of Shah Rukh Khan as a villian to be reckoned with and fetched him a Filmfare Award for Best Actor. The film saw the actor essaying the role of Ajay, a man who will stop at nothing to avenge the death of his mother. The spine chilling crime thriller was one of those rare cases where the anti hero walked away as the victor and became the fourth highest grossing Hindi film of 1993. In comparison, Ajay Devgn’s Bedardi didn’t stand a chance.

Ram Jaane Vs Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995)

Once again essaying a negative role , Ram Jaane is about a kid who grows up to be a gangster and while a social worker tries to correct his ways, the boy is more interested in getting more people onto the crime scene and vooing his girlfriend. The film went up against Aamir Khan's Akele Hum Akele Tum, but while Ram Jaane earned a total of ₹8.60 crore and was declared a hit, Akele Hum Akele Tum which also starred Manisha Koirala, failed to impress as much. Till date, this is the only time that Shah Rukh Khan and Aamit Khan have had a film clash.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge Vs Yaarana (1995)

No points for guessing which film won this battle. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge which was famous for making Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as Bollywood's iconic film pair became a classic film and till date is one of the most memorable films of all time. In comparison Rishi Kapoor's Yaarana faded into oblivion.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Vs Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998)

This time around both films ended up doing pretty well at the box office. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which is another Shah Rukh Khan must watch and once again saw him opposite Kajol along with Rani Mukherjee and a cameo from Salman Khan did earn much more than the comedy film featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in lead roles but both were entertaining enough.

Mohabbatein Vs Mission Kashmir (2000)

Hrithik Roshan may have made a grand entrance to Bollywood with Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai which beat Shah Rukh Khan's Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani that had released just a week earlier, SRK pushed back with Mohabbatein and Hrithik's Mission Kashmir tanked badly.

Veer Zara Vs Aitraaz (2004)

This time around SRK went up against Akshay Kumar's Aitraaz. However audiences were happy with both and Aitraaz and s Veer Zara were big hits at the box office, thus proving that to films could co-exist at the box office and still shine.

Don Vs Jaan-E-Maan (2006)

There was no beating the Don in this one. SRK once again went up against Akshay Kumar who played the lead role together with Salman Khan in Jaan-E-Maan. But the remake of AB’s classic film emerged victorious at the box office, the other stayed forgotten.

Om Shanti Om Vs Saawariya (2007)

Starring two newbies Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, Saawariya did give us some wonderful music. But the debutants wern't quite able to take on King Khan, who blew the audience away with Om Shanti Om and also gave Deepika Padukone her dream debut. Om Shanti Om became one of SRK's biggest grossers too.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan Vs Son of Sardar (2012)

By this time, the film industry had become wary of releasing their films together with another biggie. Thus when SRK's Jab Tak Hai Jaan went up against Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardar, the progress of both films was watched closely from people all around. But whatever it was, SRK’s film managed to make good money.

Dilwale Vs Bajirao Mastani (2016)

There was a whole lot of buzz around Dilwale owing to SRK and Kajol reuniting after many years. The audience had big expectations from the film, but were left hugely disappointed by it and the film was one of SRK and Kajol's best forgotten performance. In comparison the Ranveer Singh- Priyanka Chopra-Deepika Padukone starrer started slowly but managed to beat Dilwale soon enough.
