Slamming the government for the various sins of omission and commission on Goa Revolution Day, the Congress on Wednesday underscored the need for another liberation of the State from corruption, injustice and dictatorship.
At the Lohia Maidan in Margao, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar, Opposition Leader Yuri Alemao, South Goa MP Captain Viriato Fernandes and other party leaders paid tribute to the freedom fighters.
Speaking at the event, Yuri Alemao said Goa needs another revolution to remove the BJP government in the 2027 Assembly elections.
GPCC President Amit Patkar echoed these views and called on people to unite for change. South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes said allowing this government to continue would insult the sacrifices made by those who fought for Goa’s freedom from Portuguese rule.
