From films like Gunda, Aap Ka Saroor and Hum Saath Sath Hain to even the all time favorite Sharukh Khan – Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhani Le Jayenge, Kanan and Biswa hilariously tore the films apart with their funny musings as their growing fan base on social media eagerly awaited for their next video.
However, the duo then decided to go out and experiment new things keeping their series on hold for awhile. Kanan also collaborated with other stand up comedians like Kenny Sebastian for episodes on the Dudes and Olds and News series and appearer together with Biswa recently on Abhish Mathew’s show titled Son of Abhish.
Apart from this, the comedian whose popularity is ever growing has had people all over India as he shared his hilarious encounters, musings and rants with the crowd. A musician too, Kanan also often comes up and plays some funny song on the guitar during his shows.
Recently, Kanan also decided to step into the movie space. After an earlier film didn’t work out, Kanan debuted in Sunhil Sippy’s Noor opposite Sonakshi Sinha. Kanan played the best friend and ladies man in his role of Saad Sehga in the film which is an adaptation of Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz’s novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me. Talking about working on the film, Kanan revealed that Sonakshi was familiar with the movie review series and in fact has previously suggested that they review Joker. Kanan also revealed that he decided to take up this film in particular because the role excited him. And what’s more the pretentious movie reviewer has hinted that he could be doing a review of the film himself in his trademark pretentious review style soon.
Post the film, Kanan has now been touring to different cities for his brand new show titled All Correct Opinions and post his Chandigarh stint, the noted comedian is all set to get Goans laughing as he brings the show to the state on May 6, 7.30 pm at Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji. The show is being organised by the Las Viegas Comedy Club which previously brought Kenny Sebastian’s Don’t be that Guy to Goa.
But that’s not all that Kanan is up to. The comedian has also revealed that he wants to get into film making and has already gotten started on writing it. His focus of course is on making comedy films because in his opinion Bollywood is not making any good comedy films of late.
