Fr Agnel’s College, Pilar will face St Xavier’s College, Mapusa in the finals of the inter collegiate men's football championship 2015-16, organized by Goa University.
In the first semis-finals, St Xavier’s College played well to have a better share of the exchanges and score once in each half. Craig Menezes scored the first goal through a header during the add-on time of the first half. Anson D’Souza completed the tally with his finish in the 78th minute.
The second semis between Fr Agnel and DM’s College, Assagao was an exciting affair. Both the teams played attacking football at a good pace. Pilar got the match winner through Ronil Azavedo in the 24th minute of the first half. DM's College kept on trying till the end but were denied an equaliser by the organised Pilar defence.
The finals will be played on Saturday, September 12 at Goa Football Association stadium, Duler at 9.30 a.m.
