Chow Ujjal Namshum from Arunachal Pradesh and his co-driver Chethan Chengappa from Karnataka continued to dominate the ‘4x4 Extreme’ category, leading with an impressive 838 points out of 900 on the second day of the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India 2025.
Their strong performance across 9 of the 26 Special Stages (SS) earned them a perfect 100 in three stages and 95 points in another.
Reflecting on their performance, Namshum said, “The pace has really picked up now. You have to push yourself and your vehicle in every stage if you want to stay on top. There is serious competition this year."
Staying strong in second place, Bijender Singh (with co-driver Gajender Singh) from Delhi earned 750 points, while Rambabu Mareedu from Telangana, with co-driver Kumaraswamy Thalam, climbed to third with 703 points.
In the newly introduced ‘4x4 Modified’ category, Cyril Dmello from Mumbai, with co-driver Ameer Sadiq, topped the Day 1 leaderboard with 363 points out of 400. Dmello, who had long wanted to compete at RFC India, said, “To finally compete—and finish first on Day 1—is incredibly emotional and exciting for me.”
With vehicle scrutiny completed for the ‘4x4 Stock’ category teams, the competition intensifies as the event moves into its third day, with 77 teams vying for the coveted RFC India 2025 Championship.
