Goa’s Shikha Pathak selected as referee for JJIF World Cup in Turkey

PANAJI: Bringing pride to Goa on the international stage, Shikha Pathak from Vasco has been selected as a referee for the prestigious JJIF World Cup 2026.

The tournament, organised under the aegis of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation, will be held in Kemer from May 12 to May 17, 2026, featuring top athletes and officials from across the globe. Pathak is among the top ten referees in the world selected to officiate at the event, underlining her expertise and standing in the sport.

Pathak has consistently featured at the highest level of international officiating. Last, she was appointed as a referee for The World Games 2025 held in Chengdu, where she was India’s only representative in ju-jitsu and the lone female international technical official from Asia.

Based in Vasco, she serves as joint secretary of the Ju-Jitsu Association of India and is a world referee. Her selection for global events follows strict evaluation based on performances at major international competitions.
