After mesmerizing audiences with an 18 member band (the Igor Butman Big Band) last year, famed Russian Jazz maestro Igor Butman is back in India, this time with his quartet comprising saxophone, drums, double bass and piano. Performing for the first time in Goa at Odxel Beach in Dona Paula on the evening of October 4, Butman's quartet featured Russia’s topmost jazz soloists Oleg Akkuratov, Eduard Zizak and Sergey Korchagin. The concert was part of an international jazz festival called ‘Jus’ Jazz 2015’ and held at various locations across Goa, Mumbai and Delhi.
