A video has emerged of a 50-something man releasing a sackful of snakes in the wild in India. Shot in the Panchmadhi forest of Hoshangabad near Bhopal, Salem Khan, a snake catcher employed with Bhopal civic body releases 285 rats snakes deep inside the forest after ensuring that there was no human habitation nearby.
Most of the snakes released were captured from the bungalows and houses of influential people of Madhya Pradesh, including chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and several of his cabinet colleagues. So far, Khan has rescued and released around 220,000 snakes in the jungles of Panchmadhi. Scan the QR code to watch for yourself.
