Salgaocar FC shared points with Guardian Angel Sports Club in a 2-2 draw in the Goa Professional League organised by Goa Football Association played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa. Clifton Dias and Anthony Barbosa were the goalscorers for Guardian Angel Sports Club while Salgaocar came from behind to draw the match with strikes from Mackroy Peixote and Joel Ayeni.

Both teams started the match trying to retain possession. None of the teams created quite a chance to get on with the scoring. However, Guardian Angel lost their striker Abel early after he was forced off the pitch after getting injured. But this didn't hamper the Churchorem side's play as Clifton Dias scored from a long ranger in the 11th minute which was deflected off Leny Pereira after Salgaocar keeper Abijit Das went the wrong way as he didn't expect the deflection.
At the hour mark, Guardian Angel got their second goal through Anthony, who placed the ball over the keeper.
In the 66th minute, however, Salgaocar equalised through Mackroy Peixote who shot the ball right into the bottom left corner after he got past three Guardian Angel players. Both the teams were a man down after Clifton Dias and Clencio Pinto were involved in a brawl and referee Deepraj Sangelkar showed a straight red to both the players. Joel Ayeni restored the parity in the match in the 93rd minute as he headed the ball in from Agnelo Colaco's corner.
