Goa Forward Party President and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Sunday distributed paddy seeds and fertiliser to local farmers under the Fatorda Agro Works Farmers Association, reaffirming his commitment to keep Fatorda green and support the agricultural community.
Speaking at the event, Sardesai welcomed the government's decision to plant trees on roads but cautioned farmers to remain vigilant about the new Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
"The government is deleting voters under SIR. If this has happened to any of you or your family members, report it immediately," he warned.
Sardesai announced that before the elections, his team is planning to establish a refrigerated facility to help farmers store their produce and reduce post-harvest losses. He also revealed plans to procure a tractor for community use and urged all farmers to become members of the association.
"Let us know what else you need. Let's stay united. Our aim is to keep Fatorda green and ensure that our farmers are supported, heard and never left behind," Sardesai said.
The event was part of Sardesai’s sustained outreach to the farming community, which has been a priority under his leadership.
