The controversy over the alleged involvement of a cabinet minister in a sex scandal exposed by Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president, Girish Chodankar, took a mysterious new twist on Saturday with the alleged ‘victim’ filing a ‘zero FIR’ in Bihar accusing Congress leaders of pressurising her to shoot a video to honey trap a minister.

The ‘zero FIR’ based on the woman’s complaint was registered on Saturday at the Mufassil police station in Bihar and according to the SHO Ugranath Jha, the ‘victim’ woman is a resident of his police station’s jurisdiction.

The FIR will be transferred to the South Goa police headquarters in Margao for further investigations and action, the SHO said, following procedure laid down for all ‘zero FIR’ cases.

Congress leader from Mormugao Sankalp Amonkar is among five others named in the FIR by the woman who said, she had been staying in Goa along with her husband since 2007 and the latter died in an accident in 2018.

She has also claimed that the allegation against the minister of sexual abuse is wrong and that the latter had in fact helped her in her quest to claim compensation following the fatal accident.

Apart from Amonkar, also named in the FIR are Yashwant Ghonasekar, Sanu alias Prajyot, Damodar Divkar and two more unknown persons.

Chodankar who had first alleged the sex scandal last week, had threatened that if no action was forthcoming against the minister, including his sacking, he would release evidence in the public domain ahead of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Goa on December 19.
