Tourists are prohibited from entering the tourist places in the Surla-Sattari area as the locals have seen a tiger moving in the region.

Amid the scare, tourists cannot visit ‘Ladfecho Vazar’ waterfall and have missed the beautiful site this season.

Surla, known as Goa’s Matheran, is famous for its natural beauty but a fortnight ago a tiger killed two calves belonging to Deu Pingle, creating feat among the locals.

Owing to this, the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary management has prohibited tourists from entering the area.

During the monsoon, many tourists from Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra pay a visit to this area to enjoy nature.

A senior citizen from the area had seen a tiger moving around a few days before the calves were killed, and she had informed the forest department about the incident immediately.
