Is it a sinister conspiracy to shield those who stole priceless antiques from Museum of Christian Art in Old Goa? One Murder and Five Months later the trail grows cold

The Old Goa police have made no further headway in theireffort to crack the murder cum robbery of priceless artifacts from the Museumof Christian Art. 

Two of the four arrested, Tikka Bahadur aged 30 a Nepalinational and Ravi Ranjan Kumar aged 28 have been charged under section 302 and392 on suspicion of being the masterminds and committing the murder.

Their bail applications in the session’s court were rejected.They then went to the high court who   directed both the accused to move a bail applicationin the session court. The final arguments was scheduled to be heard on 7thof June but was rescheduled for another date. Bail applications pending in thesessions court.

During the investigation, teams were sent to states likeMadhya Pradesh, Odisha and a city Mumbai to unearth facts but drew a blank.

One of the guards, Luis Bogato was found dead in a poolof blood outside the Musuem while artifacts of great value like two rosaries,one bracelet of gold, a gold belt studded with diamonds, pectoral cross ofdiamond along with gold chain were stolen.   

Edwin Colaco the Old Goa police inspector had arrestedfour people on suspicion of plotting the robbery and committing the murder.

Following the murder, CCTV’s were installed and securityguards were appointed to stand guard round the clock.
