Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday stated that the party will announce its candidate for the Ponda by-elections within the next two days.
Speaking to media persons after visiting Shree Manguesh Temple at Mangeshi village in Priol, Kejriwal said that the party will announce its candidate within two days.
"We have come to the Mangueshi temple to pray for the betterment of the health of all Goans and to pay our respects to God,” he said.
When questioned about the absence of Ponda leader Advocate Surel Tilve, Kejriwal responded that he would be active soon. “He might be busy with his work and will be seen soon,” Kejriwal assured.
Ponda bypolls are scheduled on April 9. The nomination filing process has already commenced, with the last date being March 23.
Congress party has already announced Ketan Bhatikar as their candidate.
