India Energy Week 2026 will be held at ONGC’s Modern Training Centre in Betul, Goa, from January 27 to 30, bringing together global energy leaders, policymakers and industry professionals.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the event, Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) Director General Gurmeet Singh announced at a press briefing in Panaji.
He said the week will feature presentations of over 30,000 technical papers, including contributions from 100 IIT faculty members.
India, the world’s third‑largest energy consumer and fourth‑largest economy, is witnessing energy demand growth of 3.5 per cent annually, compared to the global average of 8 per cent.
“The world is focused on India’s energy trajectory, and this platform will showcase innovations and strategies to meet rising demand,” Singh said.
The 2026 edition is expected to surpass last year’s scale, with 75,000 professionals from more than 120 countries, 100 conferences, and hundreds of exhibitors and delegates.
Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, UAE Minister Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Canadian Energy Minister Tim Hodgson, and representatives from Africa and Central Asia are among the key participants.
Deputy Director General of PIB Rajiv Jain said the event will highlight India’s role in shaping global energy security and sustainability.
