PORVORIM
Porvorim Police received information on June 13 at 21.24 hours from one person, Ashal Sanjay Kalra, resident of Ganeshpur–Mapusa stating that his friend had committed suicide in his flat at Pundaliknagar –Porvorim.
Accordingly Police Sub Inspector Akash Chodankar alongwith his staff visited Flat no 58 of Navadaya Housing Board colony at Porvorim.
When Ashal Kalra broke open the door of the flat he found that his friend Krishna Sanjeev, aged 20 and native of Kerala has committed suicide by hanging himself in this bedroom with the help of blue colour blanket tied to a ceiling fan.
Porvorim Police after conducting panchanama lowered down the body by cutting blue colour blanket which was tied to the ceiling fan. The body of the youth has been preserved at morgue of Goa Medical College at Bambolim.
The postmortem is awaited.The police have registered the case as Unnatural Death under section 194 of BNSS of 2026. No foul play is suspected in UD case, said police . Further investigation is being conducted by Police Sub Inspector Akash Chodankar.
