The much-awaited drinking water augmentation project at Ganje-Usgao is nearing completion and is expected to be commissioned shortly, bringing relief to residents of Usgao and nearby areas such as Dharbandora, Pali, and Guleli.
The project, with a capacity of around 25 MLD (million litres per day), aims to strengthen the region’s water supply system and address long-standing shortages faced by local communities.
Once operational, it will ensure a more reliable and sufficient supply of potable water to multiple panchayat areas.
Local authorities stated that the infrastructure work has progressed steadily, and the final stages are now underway. After completion, the project is expected to significantly improve water availability, especially during peak demand periods.
Residents and local representatives have welcomed the development, noting that the initiative will not only solve current water scarcity issues but also support future population growth and regional development.
Officials indicated that formal inauguration procedures will be carried out soon, after which the facility will begin full operations.
