This is with reference to the report "Goa's summer story: soaring heat……. - Goan Everyday - April 29, 2026." The heat is on the rise, fans going slow, lights flickering, sudden blackouts. Well, an all too familiar story not just in Goa but in cities like Mumbai and many other states in the country. So what do we to beat the heat - switching on coolers or ACs, others installing new ACs resulting in overload and failure of the power grid. The Electricity department would blame the consumer for this overload, the consumers would blame the weather for the excess heat. Yes, everybody would be just passing the buck. So, who takes responsibility for this situation? Let's understand this, the onus is on all of us, the authorities & the public. Let's stop playing with Nature and everything will fall in place.
