It is my observation that among the Goan MLAs, St Andre RGP MLA Viresh Borkar appears to be taking a more active and vocal stand on issues related to the protection of Goa’s green areas, hills and forests.
While other opposition MLAs have also expressed concern, their approach seems more restrained. I would like to see parties such as Congress, AAP and Goa Forward take a stronger and more visible role on these matters and show greater unity in their response.
As the larger opposition party, the Congress is expected by many people to take the lead and demonstrate clearer and stronger action.
