Cleanliness must go beyond temples in a tourist state

I was intrigued by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant's recent statement that Goa's temples are the cleanest and most beautiful, attracting visitors. While it's heartening to know that locals and the government value cleanliness in places of worship, I question the limited scope of this effort. Isn't the entire state of Goa a temple worthy of cleanliness and care? Shouldn't our efforts extend beyond temples, churches, and mosques to encompass the whole region? The CM attributed temple cleanliness to local efforts, implying that government intervention is unnecessary. However, this raises questions about accountability for overall cleanliness. Goa's tourism industry, whether spiritual or regular, relies on attracting visitors. Cleanliness is paramount. I hope the government and citizens recognize the need for comprehensive cleanliness initiatives.
