The Smart City is now facing tough time with heavy rains as many works undertaken by CCP are at a standstill. Roads connecting St Inez to Tonca , Taleigao areas and other internal roads are full of water having no way to flow to the sea. For last 20 years it's a tough situation faced by Panaji two wheeler, four wheeler motorists and even pedestrians. As there are many potholes on the road after rains, one cannot judge the depth of potholes that leads to mishaps. Many roads are in bad shape and the monsoon makes it worse. Panaji has been hosting G20 summit , international film festival and will be hosting National games on October 23. It's need of the hour to have solution for present situation as the rains have just started and more is yet to come. Corporation and present government should consult better architects and engineers to have better city to live in. The High Court took up a suo moto case 3 months back as to traffic congestion in the city and now it's time for taking up drowning of Panaji city during monsoon.
