Subashbab Velingkar’s controversial remarks on St Francis Xavier seemed to have brought Churchillbab back into the limelight. After his defeat at the hands of giant killer Venzybab Viegas, Churchillbab has been focusing more on sports than politics. Though he is unhappy with the way things unfolded in the TMC, he has still not resigned from the Mamata Didi-led party. In the run-up to the 2022 Assembly polls, Churchillbab had announced plans to retire after the election. Wait and watch whether the two-time former MP has any plans for the Lok Sabha polls in 2024.
