The ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI) made the news in Saxttidom, but for a different reason, when police and other authorities found themselves sandwiched between the demands of the political class. While instructions came from the top to bind the detained members with heavy personal bonds, a neo-BJP leader is believed to have questioned the rationale of imposing huge personal bonds amounting to Rs 3 lakh. Left with no option, the authorities found a way out by adopting a stand to go by the diktat of the top leadership than to listen to local politicos. Any questions?
