MARGAO
An Asian Football Confederation/All India Football Federation (AFC/D Diploma) coaching course for 2025-26 concluded in Duler, Mapusa, on Sunday. The participants took part in the certificate course, which featured a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip them with essential coaching skills and knowledge. The course was led by AFC instructor Antonio Prestley Pereira, Bibiano Fernandes (India Under-16 coach), and Anthony Lobo, who served as the coordinator.
Hosted by the Goa Football Association, the course began on June 1, with six experienced participants undertaking the training.
The coaches, including celebrated players from years gone by, comprised Jonathan Cardozo; Sachin Patil (international futsal player); Raju Haldanker; Girish Naik; Dalesh Pednekar; Joseph Clemente; Gaurav Vaigankar (Pro League players); and Pushpa Parab (girls’ national player).
