Betalbatim Sports Club delivered a dominant performance to defeat hosts St Sebastian Union Club 3–0 in the Benaulim Panchayat Cup at Dando ground.
The young Benaulim side started brightly, controlling early possession and dictating the tempo. But the momentum shifted dramatically when their goalkeeper, Scott, was shown a red card for bringing down a Betalbatim attacker following a defensive error. Gladson Braganza made no mistake from the penalty spot, giving Betalbatim a 1–0 lead heading into halftime.
Reduced to ten men, Benaulim adopted a more defensive approach while trying to find an equaliser. However, Betalbatim's sustained pressure broke through again in the 53rd minute, with Branson Fernandes extending the lead. Just seven minutes later, Dickson put the result beyond doubt with a composed finish.
Strong displays from Dickson and Alison anchored Betalbatim's convincing win, securing their place in the next round of the tournament.
