Batora United advanced to the next round of the Silver Jubilee Cup 2025 Inter-Ward Football Tournament with a commanding 3–0 win over Fondegal YC. The tournament is being organized by Sporting Club Virabhat at the St Alex Church ground in Curtorim.
Batora took an early lead in the 15th minute when Valanko Paes found the back of the net. Fondegal came close to leveling the score, but Gavino Mascarenhas was denied by the woodwork as his shot struck the post.
In the second half, Batora turned up the pressure and sealed the game with two quick goals. Aliynier Fernandes struck twice in the 40th and 45th minutes, ensuring a comfortable 3–0 victory for his side.
For his impressive performance, Aliynier Fernandes was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by Lawry Fernandes, a member of Sporting Club Virabhat.
