Vagator PYSC secured a narrow 2–1 victory over Pomburpa in a gripping encounter at the 24th Vagator Soccer 2025, held at the Vagator football ground. The match featured flashes of brilliance, defensive errors, and missed opportunities, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.
The action intensified in the 20th minute when Raju of Vagator made a dangerous run into the box, only to be denied by an alert save from the Pomburpa goalkeeper. However, redemption came just five minutes later as Raju capitalized on a precise through ball from Rohan Kamble, calmly slotting home to give Vagator a 1–0 lead.
Pomburpa nearly equalized in the 43rd minute, but Floyd Lobo in the Vagator goal produced a fine save to deny Pawan Devsekar.
The second half saw Vagator extend their lead in the 52nd minute. Prabhat Satardekar showcased individual brilliance, weaving through defenders before coolly finishing to make it 2–0.
Pomburpa responded with a moment of magic in the 57th minute as Akash Parwar fired a long-range screamer into the net, cutting the deficit to 2–1. They nearly capitalized on a goalkeeping error by Lobo in the 61st minute, but failed to convert.
