The Cuncolim Cricket Association’s 3rd Summer Cricket Camp commenced recently, drawing an enthusiastic response from young cricket aspirants.
A total of 105 trainees are participating in the camp, including 92 boys and 13 girls, reflecting growing interest in the sport among both genders. The camp are conducted in two daily sessions.
The morning session are led by experienced coaches Amey Dhamsekar, a Goa Cricket Association coach who has represented Goa at the U-25 level, and Sawan Faterpekar, a Goa U-23 player. They are assisted by Sumit and Vicky, who provided additional support in training and skill development.
The evening batch is guided by coaches Shivam Mishra, Rajdeep Faterpekar, and Shubankar, who focused on enhancing the technical and tactical aspects of the game among participants.
The camp aims at nurturing young talent, improving basic cricketing skills, and promoting discipline and teamwork. With strong participation and dedicated coaching, the initiative once again proved to be a valuable platform for budding cricketers in the Cuncolim region.
