He began his coaching career with the Calangute Football Association as an assistant coach. After his tenure at DSK Shivajians, Cardozo moved to Kolkata, the "City of Joy," where he joined ATK II as a coach. He spent three years in this role before becoming the manager of the ATK U18 team for a season. His coaching journey then brought him back to his home state of Goa, where he took on the role of coach for FC Goa's professional team in 2020.
Cardozo is widely recognized for his exceptional scouting skills. He has been instrumental in identifying and nurturing young talent, including players like Abhishek Suryavanshi, Md Nemil, and Arsh Anwar.
