Deggie Cardozo, a well known figure in Indian football scouting and coaching, is poised to take on the role of reserve team coach for Mohun Bagan Super Giants. Although the contract has not yet been signed, his appointment is highly anticipated.

Cardozo, hailing from the coastal village of Calangute in Goa, has a distinguished history in football coaching and scouting. He began his coaching career with the Calangute Football Association as an assistant coach. His talent and dedication soon led him to a position as the assistant coach for DSK Shivajians, where he served for nearly four years.

After his tenure at DSK Shivajians, Cardozo moved to Kolkata, the "City of Joy," where he joined ATK II as a coach. He spent three years in this role before becoming the manager of the ATK U18 team for a season. His coaching journey then brought him back to his home state of Goa, where he took on the role of coach for FC Goa's professional team in 2020.

Cardozo is widely recognized for his exceptional scouting skills. He has been instrumental in identifying and nurturing young talent, including players like Abhishek Suryavanshi, Md Nemil, and Arsh Anwar. His keen eye for talent and deep understanding of the game have earned him a reputation as one of the best scouts in India.

The move to Mohun Bagan Super Giants represents a significant step in Cardozo's career.
