The GFA's Under-15 Division I League final between FC Goa and South Goa United Club of Sports and Culture ended in a goalless draw, at Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda on Saturday.
Both teams entered the battlefield hungry for victory, creating a captivating atmosphere. FC Goa took control from the start, dictating the tempo and launching attacks that were met head-on by a resolute South Goa United defense.
The second half saw a shift in momentum. South Goa United emerged revitalised, wasting no time in pushing for a goal. However, FC Goa's defense remained resolute, protecting their citadel with unwavering determination.
The final whistle blew, leaving the score locked at 0-0. While neither team secured the championship title, both earned a hard-fought point. FC Goa finished the season with a perfect record of 50 points from as many games, while South Goa United Club of Sports and Culture had to settle for the runners-up spot with 49 points from their outings.
Dr. Caitano Jose Fernandes, President of GFA, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He gave away the trophy in the presence of Anthony Pango, Senior Vice President of GFA South Goa, acknowledging the efforts of both teams.
