The village Panchayat Child Committee Siolim Marna, supported by VP Siolim Marna concluded a month-long summer football camp. In all, 92 trainees participated.
On the final day, a tournament for trainees was held in age group U-10, U-14 and U-16 and prizes were distributed for the winning teams and outstanding players were also awarded with gifts at the hands of Sarpanch Sharmila Vernekar, Deputy Sarpanch William Fernandes, Panch Sylvester Fernandes, GFDC member Pradeep Shirodkar and committee member Lawrance Braganza.
Scindia Saundatikar was felicitated for her outstanding contribution in football. The trainees were coached by coaches Zeena Soares, Derrick Rodrigues and Chinmay Jalmi. The chairperson, Gregory Dsouza thanked the parents and Panchayat of Siolim Marna for sponsoring the summer camp for the children in Siolim.
