Fr Agnelo Youth Sports Club, Paroda edged past Parish Youth Nuvem 3-2 via the tiebreaker to enter the quarterfinals of the 3rd Late Uday Shirodkar Memorial Inter-Village Football Tournament organised by Shiroda Youth Club at the Subhash Chandra Bose Sports Complex, Karai-Shiroda, on Wednesday.
The teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regulation time. Parish Youth Nuvem took an early lead in the 6th minute through Meisleio Barreto, while Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda restored parity in the second half when Ashwin Fernandes scored in the 62nd minute.
In the ensuing shootout, Paroda converted through Kanchan Keiro and Ravil Fernandes, while Luis Barreto scored for Parish Youth Nuvem.
Utkarsh Shirodkar, General Secretary of the club, presented the Man of the Match award to Paroda goalkeeper Ravil Fernandes.
