The Gaunsavaddo Recreation Centre (GRC) of Gaunsavaddo, Siolim, recently hosted a vibrant Carrom Tournament, marking a significant revival for the community after more than two decades. With a revamped and energetic young committee at the helm, this event signified the revival of community spirit and camaraderie through healthy competition.
The tournament saw enthusiastic participation across three categories: Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Kids’ Doubles (U-15).
The winners were as follows: Men’s Doubles Champions: Anthony D'Souza and Anselm D'Souza; Men's Doubles Runners-up: Alex Fernandes and Aldrige Fernandes; Women’s Doubles Champions: June Pinto and Dionizya Britto; Women's Doubles Runners-up: Maria Cruz and Indira Cruz; Kids’ Doubles Champions: Anthony Pereira and Joysten Fernandes; Kids Doubles Runners-up: Fabio Fernandes and Reyea Fernandes.
The GRC was supported by Fr Sébastian SSS and Fr Dhanam SSS and elders of the community.
