The top four seeds — Aaron Farias, Anshuman Agarwal, Diljeet Velingkar, and Rishan Shaikh — lived up to their billing as they entered the semifinals of the Men’s Singles event at the Ulhas Jewellers BPS All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, being held at the Multipurpose Stadium in Fatorda.
In the quarterfinals, Aaron made quick work of Chinmay Bakhare with a 3-0 win, Rishan defeated Noel Noronha 3-1, Diljeet cruised past Vedant Wagle 3-0, and Anshuman powered through Chandan Caro with a clinical 3-0 finish.
Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals, Aaron had eased past Neil Sanke 3-0, while Chinmay ousted Dhruva Kamat 3-1. Rishan registered a 3-1 win over Varun Gangodkar, and Noel blanked Sagar Kulkarni 3-0. Diljeet was stretched by a gritty Yug Prabhu before emerging victorious in a close 3-2 battle. Vedant Wagle outplayed Noel Estibeiro 3-0, Anshuman cruised past Sohail Mulla 3-0, and Chandan Caro eliminated Ruhaan Shaikh 3-1.
Organised by BPS Sports Club in association with the Goa Table Tennis Association, the tournament continues to showcase intense competition among Goa’s best paddlers.
