Goa University won the West Zone Inter University Football Men's Championship 2022-23, which was organised by Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur. Goa University finished top of the table with six points, followed by University of Kota, Kota and LNIPE, Gwalior with four points each and host Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur on three points.

In the first match of the league, Goa University defeated hosts Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur 1-0. In a well-contested match the lone goal was scored by Atmaram Jadhav in the 74th minute. In the second match, Goa University lost to University of Kota, Kota 2-0 before defeating LNIPE, Gwalior 3-0 in the last league match. Atmaram Jadhav scored one and Pushkar Prabhu slammed a brace for the Goan team.
