Goans Hockey secured an impressive 4-2 victory over Hockey Rajasthan in the 15th Junior National Men’s Championship 2025, held in Jalandhar.

Goans Hockey got off to a flying start, with Krish Goankar opening the scoring in just the 3rd minute. In the 23rd minute, a well-executed move between Tushar Sharma and Annma Shamukha resulted in a second goal, extending their lead to 2-0.

Hockey Rajasthan, however, bounced back with a goal in the 31st minute, and added another before the halftime whistle, leveling the score 2-2 going into the break.

Refusing to be shaken, Goans Hockey regrouped and came back stronger in the second half. Krish Goankar found the net again to make it 3-2, reclaiming the lead. In the 57th minute, a brilliant cross from Sandesh Honakhande deflected off the Rajasthan goalkeeper and landed perfectly for Tushar Sharma, who calmly tapped in the final goal, sealing the scoreline at 4-2.

Annma Shamukha was deservedly named Player of the Match for his all-round performance and critical role in the midfield.

This was arguably Goans Hockey's finest showing so far in the tournament. The team now looks ahead to their next league fixture against Gujarat Hockey on August 15.
