Govt. College of Commerce & Economics, Borda, Margao and Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Margao secured convincing victories on Day 16 of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Men’s Cricket Championship 2025–26.
In the first match of the day, Govt. College of Commerce & Economics, Borda outclassed Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science, Margao by 60 runs. After being put in to bat, Borda posted a competitive total of 157/4 in 20 overs, powered by a quickfire 47 off 25 balls by Moh Huz and a steady 26 from Raunak Singh.
In reply, Chowgule College struggled to build momentum and were restricted to 97/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Sanat Raikar top-scored with 30, while Moh Huz starred with the ball as well, picking up 3 wickets for just 7 runs. Tejas Rajpurohit provided strong support with figures of 3/11. Moh Huz was named Player of the Match, while Rajpurohit was recognized as the standout bowler.
The second match saw Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Margao defeat GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics, Farmagudi, Ponda by 7 wickets. Batting first, GVM’s College posted 150/9 in 20 overs, with Akshad scoring 41 and Mohit Patil adding 28. Chiranjai Dessai (3/35) and Kaushal Desai (2/22) were the key wicket-takers for Kare College.
In response, Kare College chased down the target comfortably in 19.4 overs, finishing at 153/3. Chiranjai Gauns Dessai led the innings with a solid 64 off 54 balls, while Sandesh Velip contributed 29. Chiranjai Gauns Dessai was adjudged Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.
